Happy
halfway mark through Term 2!
Progress Report Info: Please note that this is NOT the
official report card, and that your student can choose to improve any grade
with which he/she is dissatisfied. Here
are some reminders as to how they can accomplish this:
*On all tests, students can receive half
the points back if they clearly show their new work and/or explanations
*On all math homework quizzes, students
can receive full points back if they clearly show their new work and
explanations
*For grammar assignments like Mountain
Language, students should be using
their resources and double-checking during independent study so they don’t miss
as many problems.
*For many other assignments, some
students are missing questions just out of carelessness or lack of attention to
details. I try to remind them to do
their best work as often as possible, but reminders from home would help as
well!
Also, here are two notes to
help you understand the progress report:
1) Please
remember that the grade that says Participation under Math is where we put
students’ math homework.
2) If
you see a ZERO for a given assignment, that means the student has not turned
it in, or didn’t put his/her name on it.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
